CAPSULE WOMEN 4 WOMEN is an all-female initiative that transforms fashion into a vehicle of support, 3 T-shirts made by 3 women, designers, exceptional artists: Clara Bona, Ilaria Franza and Marzia Dainelli. The project sees them interpret through their own distinctive traits three forms of femininity.
For Marzia, the two-dimensional profile, the decomposed and geometrically superimposed face recounts an anthropomorphic vision that, in enhancing the resemblance to the woman, stylizing her features, also succeeds in bringing to light the peculiar characteristics and uniqueness of the individual. Ilaria, who brings back her art on T-shirts, does so by reconciling the perennial conflict between internal will and external conditions, between the energies, whatever they may be, lavished on achieving something and the adversities that prevent us from doing so. It is intrinsic to human experience in general, the basic experience that unites every individual. The mark that runs through Clara’s T-shirt starts from the rhythm of her signature, which, like a soft wave, flows and transforms into a design that becomes a feminine and at the same time feminist symbol. The inspiration comes from the “Free the nipple” movement that fights for women’s independence and free choice in managing their bodies.
30% percent of the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts, purchased through skillsandgenes.com starting from March the 8th, will be donated to Edela Association.
Edela is a nonprofit association that operates throughout the country to PROTECT AND SUPPORT THE ORPHANS OF FEMININE MURDER AND FRIENDLY FAMILIES, through concrete and direct support to those who find themselves without any guarantee about their daily lives and especially about their future. The project was implemented in collaboration with Feminine Pluriel, an international women’s association that supports Edela. Feminine Pluriel’s primary purpose is to create an international network of women to facilitate business relationships and to give them the opportunity to share experiences and projects.
